Take A Shot At Hockey

This 4-week (30 min/week) program is FREE and includes FREE gear! Following the program, participants may keep the gear if they enroll into the following Learn To Play Hockey program.
Participant will need to come to an equipment fitting prior to the program to receive the gear.

Learn to Play Hockey

Learn To Play Hockey is perfect for the brand-new hockey player looking to learn the sport in a fun, active, and instructive environment. Instruction and drills/games are designed to be 100% FUN, developing a love for the game now that will last a lifetime! This program introduces players to shooting, passing, stickhandling and other fundamental skills.
The Future Caps Program is open to boys and girls ages 4-9.
The Sabres Rookie Program is open to boys and girls ages 10-14.

YOUTH HOCKEY LEAGUE

It’s time to transfer your skills to game play! This hockey program was developed as a bridge program to take your player from hockey lessons into competitive play, offering programs at all age groups and levels.

TIER 2 YOUTH HOCKEY

Sign up for tryouts and showcase your skills! Join a travel team and compete all season (approximately September through February) against other clubs in your region in weekly games and practices. Play for a championship in the end of the season playoffs!

How often should I practice?

It is recommended that skaters practice at least one other time per week. Please check our monthly calendar for stick & puck and public skating hours.

Which equipment is provided in the free gear program?

First-time hockey players receive the following equipment for free on their 1st day of class. Jersey and socks, stick, helmet with cage, shin pads, gloves, elbow pads, shoulder pads, hockey pants, hockey bag Skates are not included in the free gear program but rental skates are available until you are ready to get fitted for your own pair. When you enroll in our LTPH Program or the Capitals LTPH Program, your gear will be provided for you.
