Learn to Skate
Academy – HOCKEY SKILLS - Follows the current LTS session.
Every hockey player has to be able to skate before they can start chasing the puck and there’s no better place to take the first steps than the Capital Clubhouse Skating Academy. Basic Skills Academy curriculum incorporates Hockey Skills Class that teaches fundamentals of hockey skating. Hockey skills class pre-requisite: Pass Basic 3 wearing hockey skates. Helmets are mandatory in hockey skills class!

Want to sharpen your skills?
Stick’n’Puck - 90 minutes of informal skating, stick handling and shooting practice for all ages. Self-guided, no instruction. Full ice hockey equipment is required for youth and is recommended for parents; helmets required for all.

Adult Ice Hockey Pick-up - 90 minutes of informal action packed ice hockey for adults; limited to first 35 people, including goalies. Impromptu scrimmage game, no referees. Full ice hockey equipment required for all participants.

Southern Maryland Sabres Hockey Club - The Capital Clubhouse is the proud home of the Sabres youth ice hockey club. Sabres Ice hockey offers a 4 level learn to play hockey in Little Sabres. Check them out at www.somdsabres.org
High School Ice Hockey - Capital Clubhouse hosts exciting high school hockey games Friday evenings just before our Friday Night Dance Party on Ice. Please call ahead for game times at 301-932-4348.
Northern Roots - Northern Roots Waldorf Hockey School includes 2 on ice (3 hours total) and 2 off ice sessions daily. The morning session consists of power skating, goalie specific training, skill development and small area games. Our afternoon session includes skill development and a full ice scrimmage. Off ice session in the morning is geared towards hockey specific training while the afternoon session is an outdoor activity. Visit their website.
